Is the world flat or not? How about Ruston, LA or Louisiana Tech? Is the College of Engineering and Science preparing students to enter this type of work environment? Students-what are you doing to prepare yourself?

Ruston: Not too flat. There are only a couple of places like the Frothy Monkey that wireless. The Lincoln Paris library is going a pretty good job: online catalog, online book renewal, wireless access in the library. Outside of the the cable-ready areas it is hard to impossible to get high-speed Internet service.
LA Tech: Flattening, especially in our college, but also with folks like art who are building international collaborations.
